Graham Dick
President and Owner of Genesis

In typical E-Myth fashion, Graham began as a self-employed Technician and spent the majority of his time achieving technical excellence in every aspect of the restoration sciences. He then recognized the need to focus on developing his business skills, and has invested heavily in himself through consultants, mentors, reading, Toastmasters and much more.

Graham’s technical achievements, especially in the areas of mold and viral contamination, have placed him on Technical Advisory committees for IICRC (the largest industry certification body) and have enabled him to serve as a presenter and moderator for the Environmental Conferences held by ASCR/RIA (the largest international industry association).

Somehow, as Graham steers the company through an average growth rate of over 30% over 17 years, he has managed to squeeze in the time to give back to his industry and community. For 5 years, he built the British Columbia chapter of CCINW as chapter president and Treasurer of this regional association. For the past 4 years, he has served on the Board of Directors of ASCR/RIA and as an officer (see the Press release). ASCR/RIA is the only international association in this industry.

On a local level Graham has always been an active supporter of the Langley Chamber of Commerce, the Langley Food Bank and Fraser Valley Gleaners.

Pierre Giraud A.C.I.S.
Controller

Pierre has over 25 years experience as a Controller/ Financial Manager and brings his strong financial background to Genesis. His career spanned from working for a small firm of Chartered Accountants to a variety of industries, including Construction, Sugar Manufacturing, Shipping and the Non-Profit sector. It was the 12 years spent in the Construction industry where Pierre derived the most job satisfaction. Pierre really feels at home working in the Restoration business which is such a close relative to Construction. Before joining Genesis he had the dual role of Manager of Finance for a Non-Profit Society which provided Vocational Services programs, and Operations Manager for a for profit Packaging business division of the Society.

Some of his achievements have been the development and implementation of costing systems, designing of financial reports which meet the needs of end users, and obtaining finance for capital projects and operating facilities. As Operations Manager of a Packaging business he was instrumental in weeding out unprofitable contracts and improving productivity.

Pierre has a British based Accounting designation with some upgrades of CGA courses for local content, and has attended a number of workshops and seminar on business topics. He is a firm believer in keeping up to date with current business trends by reading as much as time permits.

Pierre was born on the beautiful island of Mauritius, which is situated off of the East Coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean, and spent most of his life in South Africa before settling in Canada in 1997. Happily married to Patricia they have two sons and a daughter. Pierre and Patricia are both passionate Ballroom and Latin dancers which brings them great health benefits, as well as an excellent way of making social contacts with the diversity of cultures which make up Canada.
