Genesis implements new worker safety training standards
The focus on Occupational Health and Safety has been increasing within the restoration industry over the past few years.
Recently, our local trade association BCARC (British Columbia Association of Restoration Contractors) has aligned itself with the CCOHS (Canadian Centre for Occupational Health & Safety) to develop industry specific online training for our production employees. At the same time, CCOHS offers many courses that fit for new workers.
Genesis Restorations Ltd. has adopted a standard that begins with Orientation on Health & Safety of New Workers.
All new employees take this before they go onto their first job site. Personal Protective Equipment – The Basics is the next course. Then we have them take several more courses that help make sure we are sending staff into your facility that have the best safety training available. WHMIS for Workers, Electrical Hazards, Confined Space: The Basics, Ladder Safety, Pandemic Awareness are some of the courses our staff take.
